George Abbey, former Director of the Johnson Space Centre and Apollo 11 technical assistant was asked to reflect on how we go forward in space technology advancement.
He said, “EDUCATION I think is the key to it all. To look to the FUTURE... we’ve got to put that emphasis on education...
to bring our young people along and be willing to INVEST in them.”
Our aim is to create and share STEM resources that will engage and inspire students to
become the next generation of space pioneers. On the To The Moon website you will find information and resources of tried and tested school projects,
including; KS2-KS3 transition, and ESA CanSat.

Why are we doing this?
This is a uniquely exciting time for developments and opportunities in space technology.
Here in the UK we are within a year of having TWO operational space-ports.
The satellite industry in the UK had gone from strength to strength and we are recognised as a centre of excellent and expertise in this area.
Thousands of motivated and STEM capable employees will be needed to contribute to these exciting developments.
Many of them are in our schools now, unaware of the opportunities that await them...
